Croeso i Ddosbarth Oren!
Now that Spring has finally arrived we are looking forward to even more fun in Dosbarth Oren with lots of experiential and outdoor learning.
Our current context is The Enchanted Garden
We will be learning about plants, animals, magical creatures and much more!
RE and Values
Our value this half term is Trust. In class we will also learn about the Christian traditions and beliefs around Easter, as well as those of other faiths.
Our context of The Enchanted Garden will give us lots of opportunities to apply our maths skills, such as when we measure the plants we plan to grow! We will also continue to work hard and stay sharp with our number skills.
The children have already written poems for a chosen mini-beast (who may live in our Enchanted Garden!). We will also write stories set in the outdoor. Where will our imaginations take us?
Our Enchanted Garden is the perfect place to study plants and animals. We will compare them to each other, think about senses and use our skills to think about human biology as well.
This half term we will extend our ability to speak about what we like and enjoy as we talk about food and hobbies. We are also trying to get better and better at using Welsh throughout the school day.
Oren have are getting very skilled on the Chromebooks and ipads and will continue to apply their skills across the curriculum.
Having done the Daily Mile for two and a half terms now, the children are getting very fit! We will have a focus this half term on understanding fitness and how to keep our bodies safe and healthy.
The children have been given homework grids of activities to complete as part of our Enchanted Garden context. This context lasts until the Summer half term and the grid has enough activities on it for that time. Your child should also bring a reading book home. Please encourage them to read it regularly and spend some time listening to them read.
